Drawlloween by bornsoulless
9" x 12" ink on paper

I decided to participate in Drawlloween this year but I didn't want to spend much time on it so I did all the drawings in the same picture. Of course I ended up spending way too much time on it anyway. I really enjoyed doing it so this may become a tradition for me. I took a few liberties with some of the days but I figure it's close enough. For anyone not familiar with drawlloween here are the different day's assignments.

1. Ghost
2. Devil
3. Goblin
4. Vampire
5. Werewolf
6. Pumpkin
7. Haunted House
8. Zombie
9. Eyeball
10. Alien
11. Raven
12. Moon
13. Frankenstein
14. Bat
15. Amulet
16. Grave
17. Demon
18. Mask
19. Creature From the Black Lagoon
20. Skull
21. 8-Bit Zombie
22. Candy
23. Gore
24. Skeleton
25. Mummy
26. Rat
27. Witch
28. Black Cat
29. Scarecrow
30. Spider
31. Dragon

Can you find them all?!

If not, it's cool.

Dude, I love your style!
I really dig animation too and I'm very heavily considering pursuing it as a career as well.
I'm in my senior year of high school and I'm looking at schools and such, but the only places that offer a degree in 2-D Animation are art schools and those are expensive...
Anyway, I don't know if me watching you and favoriting your stuff might make you curious to look on my page, but I haven't really uploaded anything that is serious stuff, so just a disclaimer so that if you looked you wouldn't think, "Man, this kid sucks." There is nothing on my page I would put into a serious portfolio, it's just doodle junk.

Thanks man. I'm going for 2-D as well so I know what you're saying about the schools. The only advice I can give about going into animation is to have a good cosigner for all the loans you're going to have to take out and to draw everything around you all the time.

I'll make sure of that.
Also, people have always told me that drawing from life is pretty much the best practice you can get.
My art teacher told me, "Draw what you see, not what you know you see."
That is the most important thing he has ever taught me, because it is stupidly true and makes anything I draw from life look much more correct in proportion.
I don't know if anyone has told you anything like that, but it is super useful.
Good luck in your endeavors.
I eagerly await your next deviation.

I have received similar advice to that effect and very much agree. Thanks again, I appreciate you viewing my stuff.

I love your work. everything's got a very well taken care of approach and a real great eye for detail.
